ABOUT US

Based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Boyer Guitars is a small boutique builder of unique/bespoke electric guitars.
Having played, modified and worked on guitars for the last 45 years, Darcy Boyer wanted something different in an electric guitar.
Using flow, contrast and space as design cues, Darcy’s designs are not only unique but extremely playable. Each build brings together a combination of wood, shape, colour/finish, hardware and workmanship to create an instrument that supports his vision of building high quality, playable works of art that you will not find in your typical music store.

OUR PROCESS

Starting with an initial concept/vision sketched on pencil and paper, the detailed design is completed as CAD models in Fusion360. 3D scaled models are printed and used to finalize and tweak design details.
With overall design complete, the work moves to the woodshop where, using an assortment of CNC, powered and unpowered hand tools, the guitar takes shape.
Finishes are applied and left to cure before final hand finishing/polishing and final assembly takes place.
Hardware is then installed, and the guitar goes through a meticulous setup.
